Monica Lent
Software engineer
Currently specializing in React and Node.
Past: Angular/Backbone, Python/Django, Neo4j/Postgres.
About
My life as a developer started by creating pages on Expage.com when I was ten years old. My first HTML4 book helped me make my website compatible with Netscape ;) By 15, I had my first domain name and a blog using b2. Shortly thereafter I was developing in PHP and MySQL, creating XMB themes in Macromedia Flash, and...enough of the flashback?
It's been more than seven years since I landed my first tech job as a University student. In the mean time, I also got a minor in Computer Science, where I gained a foundation in topics like Java, OOP, Unix, Python, and computer architecture.
Right now I'm leading (and building!) the Web Team at SumUp, a FinTech startup based in Berlin, Germany. Please get in touch with me if you're a Javascript developer looking for a new challenge!

Not a nomad blog: My travel, photography, and expat blog. Uses Hugo, a static site generator written in Go and uses a custom theme.
Work experience
